Garage sales, who invented them and how long have they been around?  I don’t know, I even googled it and came up empty.  Well inventor of the garage sale, Thank you whoever you are.  For our REFLECT today I have posted a picture of a garage sale Diana and I held before leaving Newport Beach to travel.  We had accumulated quite a bit of stuff over the years in Newport and as every traveler knows, “He who would travel happily must travel light.”  We ended up selling a lot and giving away more but it was a success.  We ditched the excess that we didn’t need with us on the road, and plumped up our wallets.  For someone looking to travel but struggling with finances, I highly suggest having a garage sale.  I love looking back at this photo as it is the start of our travels, those moments when you are excited and nervous about your upcoming adventure.  Remember, ”One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.”
