REFLECT: Horse

This photo was taken up on my families property in Northern California. I took this the first time Miles came to meet my family, so it’s special for that reason but it is also one that I love for a whole different reason.

Grandpa's old girl, November 2011 - Dirty from the cold, wet winter

My Grandpa lives on the property beside my parents (where I grew up). Down amongst his orchards he has his barn and there is where he keeps his horses. It’s been this way since before I came into this world and at times I feel it may be this way long after:) I wish, at least. I can’t really even imagine a day where my grandpa doesn’t come by our house, like he does every morning at 9:10, for his cup of coffee and a quick visit with my mom and dad. I love that I grew up with my grandpa as my neighbor. I hope that everyone has the chance to have a loving grandparent in their life. Nothing else compares.

I love him so much and am beyond grateful for all the memories we have made and will continue to make.
