Philoso s e a

Philoso s e a’ s are where we share our thoughts, ideals and mindsets on certain subjects that come up in our everyday conversations. Miles is a surf & sun, water loving,   risk taking, dog loving boy who hails from the beaches of Southern Florida & Diana is a cozy cafe addict, keeps it mellow, lives amongst the land & trees, she adores rainy days & kittens. She comes from the orchards of Northern California.
These sound like two very different people however we have some scary similarities in the areas that matter. The way our brains think and view the big things [our values and morals] The essentials of life, the way we look at the time we have here on this earth, the adventures we want to not just go on, but the adventures we want to live. It’s safe to say that our absolute best comes out in both of us when we are discussing these subjects. Our conversations are definitely the source of how and when we fell in love.

This is where our idea of Philoso s e a’s came about. These topics will always come out of casual conversations and situations we have and we encounter.

One of the things we want to be high-lighted through these philoso s e a ‘s  is:
These are our thoughts, they are not yours. They never ever ever have to be yours, and weren’t intended to be.  To think that this would seem as though we are putting/pushing our opinions on you is enough for us to scratch the whole thing. If anything we love to think and be provoked to care about things of all sorts [huge significance all the way to things of the smallest significance] So just take it all with “a grain of salt”

As Diana always says:
take it or leave it,thats the beauty of having a mind.

The mind is a powerful thing….
I’m sure this is a statement you have all heard many times before but have you really taken the time to reflect on this statement.
The mind can be both powerfully good and powerfully bad.Our mind is constantly firing off thoughts faster than we can comprehend at times. Listen to these thoughts they are there for a reason.Your mind is brilliant whether you think so or not. Don’t talk yourself out of an idea instead put it out into the world, write it down, tell someone, whatever works for you just do it! Then comes the best part, make it happen!

This is something I am working on because it such a shame when we get into a bad mind state and are constantly talking ourselves out of ideas. You never know what Ideas you might be shutting down. Maybe with a little fine tuning of a random thought you could be the proud owner of the next big “as seen on tv” invention and rolling in the dough in no time.

Listen to those voices in your head, believe in them, and let them live.

“The empires of the future are the empires of the mind.”
-Winston Churchill

“There comes a time when the mind takes a higher plane of knowledge but can never prove how it got there.”
-Albert Einstein

I have to drink soy milk. It’s not a personal choice I have chosen to make its just something that my body makes me do. I do not understand why it is that coffee shops charge me more for this. If anything I should be charged a lower price.

my reasons:

1.) whole milk taste so much better

2.) soy/almond milk cost less to purchase in stores.

This philoso s e a is quite silly & insignificant, however I just encountered this situation so I thought I would share.
Either way I will not cease in my coffee drinking endeavors. A day is not as beautiful without a cup of coffee.

Coffee is a beverage that puts one to sleep when not drank.

This has just been on my mind a bit.. It seems that it is our nature to always be looking to past events, past times and past memories and being a bit toooooo nostalgic.
It is absolutely a beautiful thing to look back on the days we have lived. I hope that through all the seasons of my life I am able to smile on those times. I never want to let my mind wander back there and wish “things could be like they were back then” I think thats a dangerous place to allow my mind to go.The time is now, why would I even think about wasting this time lamenting on the times that are out of reach, forever.
I guess the point that I am eventually going to reach is this: It is our human nature to always be wishing we could go back, live here, love there and really all that we have is the very moment in which we are upon. I don’t want to waste real time on time that really has lost all significance in my life. So I say, move along. Go forth with your mind upon the things of the moment and the things of future moments to come. Look back on the past enough to keep memories alive, but quick enough to not waste a moment of your reality.

One response on “Philoso s e a

  1. “I Don’t want to Waste Real Time on Time that Really has Lost all Significance in my Life” Correct Me if Im Wrong, you saying
“The Time that has Lost All Significance, im assuming is a reference to the bad things that happen in life.” But it made me think about how The Majority if not all of our Past Make Us who we are in the present. And if we don’t think about them Sometimes, and think about how they affected us, why they affected us, and ultimately how those problems can make us better persons then having a memory would be useless. I Completely agree with you that we shouldn’t Dwell on past problems, mistakes, hardships to the point where they affect our present and Future, but they must remain significant to a degree because they made us the people we are at this point in our Lives. The Real Goal is to take away enough knowledge from those situations(Good and Bad), so we can Know What Not to do next time, or what to Keep On Doing, if we meet up with situations like that again.

leave us your thoughts!
